Key words: Infinite Anxious Illusions Repetitive Insignificant
Heterotopia is a concept elaborated by philosopher Michel Foucault to describe certain cultural, institutional and discursive spaces that are somehow ‘other’: disturbing, intense, incompatible, contradictory or transforming. The key words of the heterotopia concept are very similar to babel and at the same time this is the atmosphere I wanted to create in the space.
The Tower of Babel narrative in Genesis 11:1–9 is an origin myth meant to explain why the world's peoples speak different languages.It is also a symbol of "confusion". This was the starting point for our design concept.
So I take two concepts from the Tower of Babel and formed my spatial prototype.
